Full Itinerary

Day 1. Nairobi
Arrive JKIA airport Nairobi where you are met by our representative and taken to The Stanley Hotel B&B.

Day 2. Nairobi
After breakfast set out for the Daphne Sheldrick animal
Orphanage, where you will hopefully be able to pat a baby elephant and or rhino depending on what is in at the time. Afterwards, drop in to the Kazuri Beads factory. A thriving local business making delightful ceramic beads ,which are sold all over the world. Lunch at Karen Country Club. Visit the Giraffe centre and hand feed giraffe if you are game! Return to Hotel . The Stanley Hotel B&B

Day 3. Naivasha
You are collected by your tour operator and set out for amazing drive over the edge of the Rift Valley and it’s panoramic views to the beautiful Lake Naivasha.

Lake Naivasha with its commanding setting at the foot of the Rift Valley Escarpment, is also an important horticultural area of Kenya.
One of the Great Rift Valley lakes, it often houses over four hundred bird species including flock of Flamingo, Hippo, water buck and more. Take a walk among the wildlife on Crescent Island, one of the few places where you can..(no predators) and a sunset cruise on the lovely tranquil lake. Naivasha Simba Lodge FB

Day 4 Masai Mara
Morning drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago.
Lunch at Sarova Mara Camp. Afternoon game drive with a visit to the Masai Village. In the village the Masai will set out their beadwork and you can have fun bargaining (with the help of the driver who will protect you from a bad deal!)

Day 5 Masai Mara

Day 6 Kisumu
Breakfast at the camp. Morning depart with picnic lunches to Lake Victoria, the legendary source of the Nile and Africa’s largest lake. This is a majestic coastline with a fascinating mixture of towering bluffs, great peninsulas and islands.
Arriving at Ligusa children’s orphanage in the area of Dala you are greeted and shown around by the Elders of the village and shown the orphanage and the school we are building. A traditional meal is prepared for you and you learn a little of Luo culture and life. Overnight in Kisumu town Imperial Hotel.B&B

Day 7 Nairobi
Morning at leisure . Afternoon transfer to the airport for evening flight to Nairobi. Met on arrival at the airport and transfer to The Stanley Hotel.

Day 8. Nairobi
After breakfast you are escorted to the village market. It is a covered market at the top of a pleasant mall in the suburban area. Here you will find goods from all the local craftsmen and women and from Sudan, West Africa, And many other places. There are antiquities, soapstone carving Masai beadwork, leather, cloth, household wear and jewellery , among many things. Our guides will accompany you to help with bargaining and any arrangements for shipping you may need.

Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel pool, gym or spa facilities or to wander into the streets and soak up the culture. Evening meal is taken in the atmospheric Habesha Ethiopian restaurant with a pick up and drop off back at the Hotel.

Day 9. Nairobi
After breakfast you are escorted in groups of four to visit the West African Traders.(Own arrangements) Each of you will be surrounded by amazing arrays of trade beads, traditional cloth, statuary, and artefacts. A translator/negotiator/ carrier will be with each of you to help if you would like to buy. You can also take photos and just observe as you wish.

In the afternoon visit Spinners Web a wonderful African craft emporium and then to
a gallery near the Stanley to see local painting and sculpture (Sarang Art Gallery)

Day 10. Samburu
After breakfast you’ll be off on safari again.
Morning ;drive north via Nanyuki where you cross the Equator and onto Mt Kenya and the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colorful game viewing in the country. Animals not seen south of the Equator such as the tiny dik dik and long necked Gerenuk among others.

Day 11 Samburu

Early morning game drive.
All day spent in the Samburu National Reserve. With a Visit to a Samburu village. Again villagers will put out their wares for you and of course try to sell them. Remember to bargain as it is a pleasant game with good results.

Day 12 Nairobi
Morning fly to Nairobi, Kenya’s colourful capital city.

Day 13. Nairobi
Day of rest and leisure in Nairobi.

Day 14. Nairobi
This day your tour vehicle will arrive after breakfast and take you to visit a series of amazing local specialised shops. See Stunning leather made my local designers at international standards( Zebu Junction),The Silk Road (Karen)for it’s beautiful collection of jewellery and clothing from Africa, the middle East, Afghanistan, Nth India etc and The Souk (Dagoretti Rd)..Lunch at Talisman in Karen then Anna Trzbinski’s workshop for stunning African hardwood and her New York collection of clothing using local themes and materials.(Langatta) Overnight at The Stanley Hotel B&B

Day 15 Lamu
You are collected and transferred to Wilson airport for your schedule flight to Lamu departing at 13:45hrs. On arrival at the airstrip at 15:30hrs transfer to hotel.

Beautiful peaceful Lamu just off the coast of Kenya. Built in the 14th century, Lamu’s unspoilt Arab architecture and sleepy village feel is a perfect place to forget the world for you last few days. Only foot transport and donkeys are allowed on Lamu.

Day 16.

Day 18. Nairobi
Morning at leisure. Lunch at the hotel. Evening transfer to the airstrip for schedule flight back to Nairobi departing at 16:00hrs. On arrival at Wilson Airport at 18:00hrs. Met and transfer to The Stanley Hotel B&B

Day 19.
Day of leisure to collect your thoughts for your return home and do any last minute exploring. There are several galleries within walking distance of the Stanley and other local markets too. Overnight at The Stanley Hotel B&B

Day 20.
After breakfast transfer to airport for your outbound flight .
